An airplane that has become a raft. Built from bamboo skewers and lashed together with white yarn, it recalls a small raft on the open sea. The water beneath takes up the theme and turns sculptural: a three-dimensional wave pattern shaped from styrofoam and plaster, covered with thousands of small glass mosaic stones. Their arrangement emphasises the waves even more, with bright white foam on the crests and deep dark blue in the troughs. So the raft drifts across a sea that visibly rises and falls, all in blue, turquoise and white.
