A folded paper airplane, but knitted: soft white fluffy wool sitting where crisp paper should be. Beneath it floats a cloud: dark and light blue felt stacked layer on layer. The bubble shape was modeled in 3D on the computer first, then sliced into contours to make the cutting templates, every layer cut out by hand and rebuilt one on top of the next. A paper plane and a cloud belong to the same light, drifting world; here that lightness is rendered in something you could reach out and hold.
