Exhibitions.
I make this art because I think people enjoy seeing it. A piece that stays in my workshop reaches no one. I would much rather have it hang somewhere people pass by and notice it.
If you run a gallery, a restaurant, a café, an office, a hotel, or any space where people gather, I would love to put a piece on one of your walls. I do not charge a fee for the loan. The art arrives ready to hang, and we agree together on a span that suits the space, whether that is a few weeks or a season.
The pieces are different interpretations of one subject, the paper airplane, each built from a different material: felt and sunflower seeds, brass gears, plaster hexagons, two thousand dice, a swarm of plastic butterflies. They speak most strongly as a group, so they come into their own when hung together as a series.
If you have a wall where these might live well, write to me below. Tell me a little about the space and what you have in mind, and I will get back to you.
